Introducing the 'Hello Kitty Loves Animals' series of BLOTz, Blind-box MIMOBOTs.





Penguin, Leopard, and Giant Panda

Each one features hello kitty dressed up as a  different animal - adorable!

There are 11 to collect (8 regular, 1 surprise, and 2 rare).

Regular costumes are: Panda, Racoon, Seal, Penguin, Tiger, Leopard, Bear, Fox

Rare costumes are: Giant Panda and White Tiger

 

The three I have are the penguin, the leopard and, as you can see, I was lucky enough to get one of the rares, the Giant Panda.

I was curious about what the surprise one might be, until I realised it is pictured in the wallpapers (actually, am still curious what animal it is)


Each Mimobot is 2GB, Hi-speed USB 2.0, Mac/PC compatible, and is about 2.5" tall.
The Mimobots come with a set of preloaded icons, avatars, and wallpapers featuring the mimobots:

I love My Little Ponies

I have had various iterations of these ponies since I was little, and I have two on my desk as I write this.

But if you have seen any My Little Ponies in the stores recently, you may be wondering what has happened. Gone are the cute, slightly rotund models, and in their place are a new range of thin, long-legged ponies.

At first, I was confused: had my beloved little ponies developed anorexia just like the poor super models and hollywood stars that we see struggling down the catwalks and red carpets looking as though they haven't eaten in a year?

I was genuinely outraged for a time. Toys and popular culture have a huge influence on our perceptions and beliefs. I did not want to believe that the ponies could be helping to brainwash our children into believing thin is better.


Thankfully, though I do still have some issues with the new look ponies (I honestly think the older ponies are much cuter), I soon found out that the new look ponies are modeled on the latest cartoon adaptation of the franchise: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (or MLP: FIM).


Almost all was forgiven when I then found out that MLP:FIM is made by some of the people responsible for the utterly amazing and wonderful cartoon: The Powerpuff Girls. The graphics and the look of the ponies started to make more sense in that context, and the style of the cartoon is quite reminiscent of  PPG.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, does not disappoint. It is cute, fun, and teaches valuable lessons about friendship. What's not to love?

Seriously, I cannot recommend this show enough. I have watched the first season and am completely addicted.

I do hope they bring back the old look ponies though. In my opinion the world would be a better place if we had the ponies we know and love together with the cartoon inspired ones.

Brighten your day: Hello Kitty lunchbox or stationery

I love Hello Kitty

She is is pretty and sweet, and seems like an all around nice cat.

There are a lot of Hello Kitty products out there and all of them are super cute. I totally recommend bringing some of them into your life to brighten your world.

Hello Kitty and her friends appear on everything from quilt covers to car decals. A few small items you can easily use in your daily routine are lunchboxes and stationery.

I got this lunchbox from the Sanrio store in Honolulu. It is two lunchboxes that stack together - how cute is that? Taking your lunch to work in a super cute lunchbox really helps to make the day more fun.

   

A great way to brighten up the chore of grocery shopping is to make your lists on Hello Kitty notepaper.

If you head to your local Chinatown you should be able to find a stationery store that stocks a nice variety of Japanese notebooks, or you can often find these sorts of products through online retailers.




Did you know: Hello Kitty's full name is Kitty White and she lives in London. She was invented by the Sanrio company and is based on the Japanese bobtail cat. She has a boyfriend called Dear Daniel, and she even has her own online game: Hello Kitty Online.

I love 'World of Warcraft'

It is my secret hobby and I am absolutely addicted to it. In fact, I will probably log on as soon as I've finished this post.

But this is a cute blog and the World of Warcraft is not always cute. So I've been wondering how to blog about it. Then I realised there is one thing about the game that is sure to please any cute rainbow and unicorn loving cute-o-phile. Two words: Vanity Pets. Or even better, three words: Vanity pet plushies!!




Wind Rider and Gryphon Plushies

That's right, the lovely people at Blizzard (Blizzard is the company who make World of Warcraft) have released these two cuties for fans of the game who have always wanted a real, live wind rider or gryphon (or a plushie version at least).




The gryphon is the noble escort of many a brave alliance warrior.
He wants to be your friend, pwease.

Each super cute plushie comes with a key for an in-game pet. So not only do you get a cute, cuddly plushie companion, you get an in-game vanity pet to follow you around on your adventures in Azeroth (that's the name of the world.... of warcraft).




The wind rider is the fearsome ally of the mighty horde.
He says 'grrr'. Awwww isn't he cute?

Each plushie is around 22cm tall, and is, well, plushie. As you can see, they are adorable.

Funky Unicorn Figurines - Unicornos from Tokidoki

It seems fitting that the first post in a blog about everything happy and cute be about unicorns. But these little unicorns are weird and wonderful as well as adorable.

The 'Unicornos' are a set of crazy, funky unicorns created by Tokidoki.




Mooka, Peperino, Ritmo, Dolce and Pogo

Tokidoki have had a white unicorn feature on a number of their products in the past, but now they have expanded their stable of unicorns and are releasing them as mini figurines. There are 10 'unicornos' to collect. The figurines are 2.5" tall PVC. They come in blind boxes so you don't know which one you will get. There are 8 regular models and, as is often the case with blind boxes, there are 2 rare models.

Regular unicornos: Stellina, Bellina, Dolce, Metallo, Mooka, Peperino, Pogo, Ritmo.
Rare unicornos: Prima Donna, Fumo.

You can buy already opened unicornos on sites such as ebay and Amazon.
Expect to pay $5-$10 for the regular unicorns and upwards of $50 for the rares.

When I discovered them I immediately bought as many as I could justify. My current collection are the five in the photo, plus one double (not bad for a random, blind box selection).

If you don't want to buy them online, the best place to find these little guys is in comic book stores or anime/cartoon stores.
